Summary:

New Products for Essilor are multimillion-dollar sales generators and driving the growth of the group. Timely and effective launch of New Products makes the position of New Product Project Manager key to the strategic and financial future of the company.



Responsibilities:


Be responsible for the complete scope of Strategic Projects, within the frame of Essilor Stage Gate Process, including project preparation and feasibility (both technical and financial) to product and process development, quality validation, pilot, production and supply flow and finally product launch. He / She will responsible to track the project and follow-up on all tasks.
Manage a portfolio of projects (\"Projects coordination\") and coach / manage Junior Project Managers.
Lead an international project team including a wide and complex array of disciplines: Marketing, Finance, R&D, Engineering, Quality, Production, Sales, MIS, Production Control, Supply Chain, Accounting, Purchasing, Customer Service, Labs etc. and ensure a cohesive spirit within the team with clear goals to pursue.
Be responsible to work closely with all of the various disciplines mentioned above in order to resolve trouble spots and possible roadblocks to the flow of the project. This involves active and professional communication with persons at all levels of the organization, from factory floor production personnel to CEO.
Present accurate, timely, effective and concise updates to Management on a regular basis. This includes written updates and presentations at the committee meetings as well as regional committee meetings (AMERA & Greater China) each month.


Requirements:

Tertiary education in Science / Engineering / IT.
Practice of project management or actively leading within a project-based environment.
Excellent organization, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and team building skills.
Knowledgeable about the technical tools of project management (Work Breakdown Structures, Gantt Charts, Risk Analysis, etc
Technical understanding of lens manufacturing and treatment & Rx processes
Excellent command of English language. Another language would be a plus.
